At Headway we are very fortunate to have a Snoozelen.
What is a Snoozelen you may ask!
The Snoozelen is a multi-sensory relaxation room, where Group Members can go to "chill out" letting all their stresses and worries melt away while they relax. We were very lucky to be generously sponsored in the setting up of this room by The Henry Smith's Charity, The Jordan Foundation and the family and friends of Nerys Bradford. The room is equipped with a heated water bed, couches, and recliners, while the multi sensory equipment inludes fibre optic curtains, gentle coloured lights reflecting on a mirror ball, multi coloured lava shapes projected on to the walls, coloured bubble tubes and ultra violet light. The room is also equipped with a hi-fi to play gentle music or the individuals' choice.
