However there are others who are equally willing to get involved but are limited in time or physical capacity to be involved directly with our clients. Volunteering to become a Trustee may be the opportunity you are looking for. We are always keen to expand the Board of Trustees and especially welcome people with different skills and from many backgrounds. We try to have a wide representation of people to ensure that we have input from people of all ages, ability, sex and race. All Trustees receive an Induction Pack fully explaining the roles and responsibilities . There is also a great deal of information available on the Charity Commissions website at www.charitycommissions.gov.uk Being a Trustee does not always require prior experience and skills, we also welcome people who are able to give their time and enthusiasm. We expect that a Trustee will give a small amount of commitment to attend meetings etc and everything discussed in meetings is treated with the strictest of confidence. We are always in need of people with the following experiences:-

Trustees may also be asked to lead initiatives which relate to their own areas of expertise such as education, human resource management, business or estates management, quality standards review or policy making. One of our Trustees act as Treasurer to oversee our financial affairs, another will be involved in activities relating to our company business as designated Company Secretary. (Please note that Headway is still open when college is closed apart from the dates mentioned below!) Headway Closure Dates:As with other social enterprises/charities Headway will only be closed for statutory Bank Holidays during 2010. The only exception will be the Christmas holiday which will be announced later in the year; and any other closures which may be beyond our control. Keen on IT? Can you help?We are looking for somebody who is willing to give up a few hours of their time to come to our computer suite at Headway House in Credenhill once a week to help us to encourage our members to develop their IT skills.
