We are pleased to announce that eight Cyclists from SETL, a Fin Tech firm based in the City of London which is focused on providing regulated market infrastructure, have completed the 54-mile annual London to Brighton bike ride in aid of Herefordshire Headway.
The group explained that SETL are proud to have raised nearly £3,000 to support Herefordshire Headway’s life-changing work in the local community.
The team comprised of riders from three of SETL’s offices, with some travelling across the Channel from the Paris Office especially for the event. Having left Clapham Common at 0730AM all eight riders were in Brighton in time to enjoy a sunny afternoon on the beach, with some even taking to the sea in their lycra.
For many in the team the biggest challenge of the day was ascending Ditchling Beacon, an extremely steep one mile climb, without getting off to push. For other members of the team who hadn’t graced the saddle for a few years, getting to Brighton before sunset was the achievement of the day.
Highlights of the day included the views from the top of Ditchling Beacon, the much-needed downhill into Brighton, and the dip in the sea at the end. Overall, it was a great day and all of the team thoroughly enjoyed raising money for a wonderful cause!
A big thank you from all of us for taking on the challenge.
