BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS WEEK 2010‘Hats’ the way to raise money for charity! Herefordshire Headway would like to thank Ann Dyer and Weobley Primary School who helped to raise vital funds by taking part in Hats for Headway Day and donning a wacky hat for a day on Friday 21st May. “Hats for Headway Day is a fun and easy way to raise vital funds for the charity,” said Richard Thompson from Herefordshire Headway “All you need to do is make a small donation of £5 and wear a hat for the day in honour of Headway. Of course, the wackier the hat, the better!" “All the money raised from the event will go towards helping us continue to support local people affected by brain injury, which can devastate lives and happen to anyone at any time. So our thanks to Ann Dyer and the staff and pupils of Weobley Primary School who signed up and got involved to raise much needed funds to help us to continue to improve life after brain injury.” Hats for Headway coincided with this years Brain Injury Awareness Week which this year focused on awareness in hospitals and surgeries, emphasising the importance of getting a head injury checked as soon as possible.
