Herefordshire Headway - improving life after brain injury

Carers Respite Outreach Support

Headway have a team of specialist outreach support workers who will take care of the client member for a fixed period (usually 4 hours) to give the carer some much needed respite time. This is on a contractual basis with the Local Authority and the carer has to be assessed to allow us to provide the agreed respite time. We can guide you through the assessment process.

We also run monthly carers meetings at which we play host to carers of people living with an acquired brain injury. At these meetings we provide information, provide speakers on key subjects and allow the carers to network with each other.
